Tips & tricks
- Parent/child link must exist between system epics, epics, and features for the dashboard to function correctly. Furthermore, effort estimates should be recorded in epics and features to accurately reflect the progress of the system epic.
- Certain fields in system epics must be correctly filled to ensure the filters operate effectively, e.g., iteration path, production line, and target release.
- The dashboard includes various filters that enable users to categorize data according to their specific needs.
- WI’s have an ADO link displayed in a column that, when clicked, redirects to the work item in ADO, facilitating easy navigation between ADO and PBI applications.
- A "+" icon at the bottom of the report allows users to display all data contained in the report.
- A "x" icon at the bottom of the report allows users to display Work Items that have issues with link hierarchy, e.g. Epic linked as a child to other Epic.
- The menu located in the upper right corner provides users with the ability to navigate through the data by drilling up or down, allowing for an exploration of the hierarchical structure of the System Epics. Additionally, this menu offers a Focus mode, which enables users to view the data in a more concentrated and streamlined manner.
- When the filters become unresponsive or "frozen," users can utilize the reset button to restore the filters to their default settings. This action effectively clears any applied filters.
